Unsere News-Datenbank bietet eine Auswahl von neuen Forschungsergebnissen, Publikationen, Stellenausschreibungen und Veranstaltungen zur Biodiversität. 13.01.2010 | Job PhD-Studentship in Ecology/Biodiversity Institute of Environmental Sciences Section of Conservation Biology University of Basel, Switzerland Position: PhD-studentship Starting date: 1 April 2010 Duration: 3 years Salary: According to the guidelines of the Swiss National Science Foundation Project description: The PhD-studentship is part of the project «WATER CHANNELS – The traditional irrigation culture using water channels as model system for sustainable water management» in the National Research Programm «Sustainable Water Management». The PhD-student will assess the biodiversity of differently irrigated meadows in the Alps (mainly in the cantons Valais and Grison) using vascular plants and terrestrial gastropods as indicators. Requirements: Diploma or Master degree in biology. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated student in ecology or conservation biology. Experience in determining vascular plants in alpine habitats is required.
